The Association of Academic Programs in Latin America and the Caribbean (AAPLAC) seeks proposals for presentations and panels for its 22nd Annual Conference, to be held at Kennesaw State University in Kennesaw, Georgia, February 17-19, 2011.
Suggestions for presentation topics:
Creating international educational programs that:
* Promote working in partnership with hosts towards a shared mission
* Build relationships that are mutually respectful and mutually beneficial between students, educators, educational institutions, and host communities
* Strengthen knowledge about global issues and understanding about
global citizenship
* Challenge perceptions about global justice
* Stimulate reflection about our role in the world and our ability to work effectively in a global context
We welcome abstracts from individuals or groups for presentations or panels related to the theme. Abstracts should be sent in Microsoft Word format and no more than 250 words. Please include your name, title and institutional or organizational affiliation, phone number, and e-mail address in your proposal. Presentations should be no more than 15 minutes in length; panels can be 30-45 minutes long.
